hello there,

first, sry for my bad english, im from germany.
I'm very concerned about my health, like u all do.

I'm 24 and living at home... my dad want me to finish study and to get my own apartement.

But at the moment, i'm very concerned and confused about my future. how do u deal with this disease?

I won't live at home till i'm 40 years old.. :/

How long does it take, to get this brain fog rid off?

I got sick last year.. treatment startet 1/2 year after I've been sick. Now im treating since 7 Month.. there is some improvement.. but it isn't still enough to do my study (studying engineering)..
Is there ever a chance to get this brain fog rid off??

I have Barts and Borrelia for sure.. and maybe Babs, but the Babs tests were negative.

Actually my protocol is daily:

500mg Tavanic+2x 100mg Minocycline+ 2x Bactrim DS+ 300mg Artemisin

Can Bartonella cause Brain Fog too?? I have a Encephalopathy, thats for sure.

Can Babesia cause things like memory loss, concentration problems etc???

Still not sure if I have Babs because there is only anorexia i have and brain fog.. from the symptom list of babesia.

have no night sweats or something like that.

thx for your suggestions...

Hi Daniel,

I can't answer a lot of your questions, but I can

tell you that my oldest daughter was sick for

over 2 years before treatment and she is in

college and doing very well and no longer on

medications. At one point she had severe

cognitive problems and could no longer understand

what she was reading. She had Lyme, Bartonella,

and Babesia and was treated with Cipro and Doxy

for 15 months and Mepron for 3 months.

So - keeping fighting the infections and stay

positive (and I do know how hard it is to stay

positive when it seems life is passing you by)....

WElcome!!

Babesia is a possibility since you have anorexia. I had chills (slight) and few sweats. But the treatment helped me a lot!!

I hope you can continue treatment so you can get well!!

What does Babesia have to do with anorexia when Dr. S, the Babesia expert in FL, states Babesia is the CAUSE of obesity?

Anorexia is a symptom of babesia.

Found this in the symptoms list:

"___Decreased appetite and/or nausea"

Dr S is the expert according to Dr S.

I have another symptom list which I cannot access. It's on my crashed computer. I thought the word "anorexia" was used on that one.

I found it difficult to eat while I had this going on. I gained weight once I got well.

I had anorexia from babs, too.

Sorry you're feeling so poorly. Treatment takes time, but you can overcome this illness and have life get back to normal. [Smile]

Seek,

The anorexia is a documented babesia symptom (like even in acute cases the IDSA recognizes).....the obesity thing is a claim made by Dr. S. Google "babesiosis anorexia" and you will find it.

Anyways...

Bactrim DS with Zithromax helped my brain fog.

But since you're already on Bactrim, maybe it isn't the drug that is right for you.

You could also try either Levaquin, Factive, or Rifampin for the brain fog symptoms. But check to see if any of those interact with what you are on already, of course.

This is not true medical advice, I am just listing a few things that help Bartonella, which causes brain fog, that you aren't currently on.

Hope that helps a little.

thx for your answers, especially from kathryn.

mh i would like to take some atovaquone now but burrascano says that you first have to treat bartonella.

me spent this year so much money for doctors and medicine.. over 5000 euro .. :/ .. because of this im afraid .. and ashamed to ask my parents for money for the atovaquone.. but i have to because german insurances pay maybe the first bottle.

I'm sorry you are feeling so poorly. I will pray for you.

I was treated years ago for lyme but I never used the minocycline. A few weeks I started on it and had a bad time. I was really dizzy, tingles in arms, face and tongue, weak, shakes, hot, cold, emotional issues too.

Someone on the board sent me a pm to say that she couldn't handle the minocycline either and her doctor switched her to doxy.

I switched to doxy and the bad stuff went away quickly. I was on doxy before and after a week or two I was okay on that.

Just a suggestion. Maybe you can check with your doctor. I don't think my body would handle it well if I started all those meds at the same time. My dr usually started with an im shot and one oral before he added anything els.

Hope your day gets better.
