I was on Ceftin for 8 weeks, switched to Doxy for another 3 and just took myself off all abx.
first 3 weeks on Ceftin were horrible, then I felt great for 5 weeks, then on doxy (3 weeks) felt like crap so I just stopped. Mainly because I am getting a horrible yeast infection (bad thrush on tongue etc) and I want to get rid of that and don't know how I can if I stay on abx.
So I started the salt/C regimen yesterday. I don't feel any worse than when I was on abx...maybe even a little better.
Does anyone else go off/on abx and try other things?
I keep getting conflicting info. Some say to stay on abx until you are well...but how do you know you are well??? I am so up and down.
And I don't want to trade getting rid of Lyme for a Candida infection. Both are horrible.
Just hoping someone has had success on salt/c or other remedies because I am sick of abx!!!

Hi,
I have had great success with salt/c (sea salt) and antiparasitic herbs. I have been on both for over 3 yrs and am almost in renission. NO candida!!
The key is persistence. Do a search on here for parasites and Lyme and salt/c,
Gael

There is a lot of information here if you want to explore other options.

glm-
It has taken you 3 years to feel better??? That is depressing. I was sure hoping for something quicker but I know some take a long time.
I am fortunate that I actually feel good about half the time. No major joint issues or very serious health problems so far.
One site I read on advertised you would feel better with salt/c within 72 hours. Yeah...they WERE selling stuff and NO I did not buy from them!

TxLymie.. Lyme is not easily beaten!! Three years is not bad. Took me 4. ..many are on abx for years and years.
You might also want to consider Rife.
PS.. You'll know when you're well. You'll feel great!!
I worry about those who drop abx before any real progress can be made on the spirochetes. They don't just go away on their own.

I take Nystatin 4 a day. Many take Diflucan.
You may need something stronger or a lot higher
dose to get rid of it. Then as long as you take
antibiotics I would be on it.

I was dx in 1999 by an LLMD. I was bitten very badly back in the late 70's and was misdiagnosed for over 20 + yrs. I think I originally contracted it back in the early 50's.
So, if you count the yrs of abx and then salt/c, it took me 10 yrs. It doesn't sound like you are that sick so it may take you a much shorter time.
