Anyone in this boat? I have "herxes" but then don't improve from them, just pick up more symptoms.
I am on very strong treatment and saw great gains, only to relapse when I'm 3 DAYS off meds.
I don't understand how I could be worse now than 3 yrs ago when all this started.
I am ready to give up. Can deal with everything else except the cognitive and psych stuff.

I'm not sure if this helps, but I seem to be
"going backwards" in my symptom list. I've been
sick for over 20 years, and have been in
treatment for 12 months. I find myself having
symptoms that I haven't had in years - like
costochondritis this week after starting
Rifampin. Also, at one time I had constant
"sinus infections" that only responded to Doxy.
Now the sinus problems have come back for the
first time in 10 years. I'm really hoping this
indicates the Rifampin is killing the Borrelia or
Bartonella in these areas.

yeah I'm not sure what it means...I have had the same thing happen to me. It could just be toxic buildup, in that case I have to get it out somehow.

Since switching from Doxy to Amoxyl 3 months ago I have seriously gone backwards.
My air hunger has gotten so bad over the past few days that I almost felt like going to the ER (like that will happen).
We'll see if things get better after I switch back to Doxy.
