Any suggestions on how best to detox the liver? Specifically, unblock the bile ducts and keep everything moving?

I am aware and utilize coffee enemas and liver flushes but anything else?

Thanks so much.

Lymphatic drainage massages keep things draining pretty well. I've used the two you mention and this.

Whey protein is a glutathione precursor.

In addition to good suggestions by Six,

Rather than detox "events" daily support is vital. Milk Thistle, NAC, ALA, Dandelion, Schizandra . . . all to be considered, rotated combined. If you have a good LL ND (naturopathic doctor) near you, that would be best so that you can get individualized advice.

Personally, I think liver flushes are just too hard on the liver and gallbladder. Good food will nourish your cells and also act as a carrying agent to get the toxins back out of your body.

Pomegranate Juice and Green Tea are excellent.

At times, Rhubarb, can be helpful for the gallbladder bile ducts. You can search in the book linked below.

And, of course, avoiding any substance that is hard on the liver (including Tylenol).

Curcumin is also extremely good for the liver and can help reduce pain.

This, from a protocol for Chlamydia Pneumonia (Cpn) which is a similar chronic stealth infection. This treatment protocol is also similar to that of chronic lyme.

This is what one of the protocol authors says about the power of NAC to help protet the liver:

Dr. Stratton Cautions on Protecting the Liver

. . . "Surprisingly, the only anti-chlamydial agent that did not cause hepatitis in some patients was NAC. In fact, NAC is recognized as being protective.

See attached references.

My conclusion is that NAC should be the first agent in an anti-chlamydial regimen and should be a constant part of the therapy for this protective effect, not to mention it's effect against elementary bodies.
