Does anyone know if it is a good idea to get the H1N1 vaccine while the Lyme has messed up the immune response? Got the regular flu shot with no problems, but am a bit tentative about this one.

Mickey,

i was told that the H1N1 does not present any greater issue than the normasl strain. Had it been made earlier it would have been included in the seasonsal shot. I got my shot this weekend and i am no worse for wear. i am 14 months into treatment...if you newly diagnosed you might want to consult your Dr.

Yes, the swine flu vaccine is made the same way as the seasonal flu vaccine. However, if you check VAERS (the Vaccine Adverse Effect Reporting System), there are thousands of adverse effects (meaning SEVERE adverse effects, not just fever and swelling) reported from the seasonal flu vaccine, including deaths. According to the CDC, only about 10% of adverse effects are even reported.

These vaccines have only been tested on healthy subjects. There are no long-term tests of either vaccine, nor has anyone done follow-up studies.

According to both the British Medical Journal and the Journal of the American Medical Association, the seasonal flu shot is NOT effective in children and NOT effective in the elderly. The package insert of the seasonal flu shot says the same thing.

Gee, not effective in the two main targeted groups, and totally untested in people with autoimmune disorders. In addition, vaccines have been shown (in VAERS and in studies) to CAUSE autoimmune disorders. If you DO have an adverse effect, the pharmaceutical companies are completely immune to liability.

And people WANT these vaccines???

According to www.mercola.com, the Polish minister of health, Eva Kopacz, will not authorize the h1n11 vaccines in Poland:

``Today we have knowledge about enclosures in agreements that other governments of wealthier countries have signed with vaccines producers. We also know what was proposed to Poland.

Due to negotiations in progress I can't tell all today. But I can tell one thing: our Law Department found at least 20 points of doubt in the agreement.

So what is a Health Minister's duty? To sign agreements that are in the best interest of the Polish people, or to sign agreements that are of best interest of pharmaceutical companies?

I know that there are three vaccines available on the market today, from three different producers. Each has a different amount of active substance, and yet strangely they are all treated the same. Therefore, isn't it fair enough for the Health Minister and the experts to have the slightest doubts about it?

... And if [the vaccine] is so miraculous, then why don't the manufacturers want to introduce their medicine to the free market and take responsibility for it?

Why wouldn't they say: ``Wonderful, this is a safe medicine, therefore I will take responsibility for it. I will introduce it to the market and everything is clear and transparent,'' instead of dropping the weight on us - the buyers.

We do not have clinical test results, no detailed ingredients and no information about the side effects. The vaccines are now in the 4th stage of tests - very short tests, and we still do not have this information. In addition, the samples have been very small. One kind of vaccine was tested only on 160 volunteers aged 20-60, all healthy.

Another kind of vaccine was tested on 600 volunteers, aged 18-60, all healthy. Is this good enough, especially for us doctors present in this room?

It is not good enough for me.

... Has anybody, anywhere, announced a pandemic because of seasonal flu? And the seasonal flu is much more dangerous than swine flu. There are deaths and severe complications. Was there ever a pandemic announced before?

Those who push me to buy vaccines, I ask you: Why didn't you scream and shout last year, 2 years ago, and in 2003? In 2003 there were 1,200,000 Poles with seasonal flu! Has anybody shouted, here in this room: ``Let's buy vaccines for everybody!''? I can't recall such a thing.''

Finally, please be aware that all multi-dose vials of vaccines contain 25 micrograms thimerosal--49.6% ethylmercury--an amount exceeding the EPA recommended limit for a healthy adult.

If you opt for the nasal mist (which contains neither thimerosal nor adjuvants), you will be shedding live virus cells for up to 3 weeks--essentially, spreading the virus around.

Forgot to mention--Eva Kopacz, the Polish Health Minister quoted above, is an MD with over 20 years experience as a family doctor.

You won't catch me taking neither one either Lymetoo. I took the swine flu vaccine in the 70's and that was the beginning of my downward spiral.

Just got the vaccine about 40 minutes ago. I'll have someone log in to let lymenet know if I suffer an untimely end.
