Hey all,

it's been a chore trying to find information on this, and i had to pospone my treatment up till now because of financial issues..

I'm just about ready to start doing some things again but wondered if anybody had an answer to this question.

Does or can Lyme Disease cause allergies, especially to food?

If yes, can LD proceed to cause leaky gut and psoriasis?

I've posted before, and have talked about increasing food allergies, leaky gut, and now psoriasis.

There has to be some sort of connection. I mean maybe it has nothing to do with lyme...

but i would LOVE to know if anyone has any "real" evidence, or medical research, or LLMD's talking about this?

Thanks for the help
scott

I do not have 'real' evidence, such as pubmed articles to refer you to. I do however know that TBI's can be connected to all of the conditions that you have listed.

How do I know this? From speaking to my LLMD (psoriasis) issue. He stated that he has had several patients that have had psoriasis completely resolve after treatment for TBI's.

As for leaky gut, there is a very good article by Virgina Sherr that talks about this. Search 'leaky gut' here or google 'leaky gut lyme' and you will be directed to tons of 'proof'. Same goes for the allergies.

Sorry I don't file away links, info should be easy to find.

Thanks for the responses.

I actually have supported my liver for a while now so I know that's not the issue..

I actually tried a liver cleanse which completely destroyed my liver a while back.. will never do that again..

Now i just focus on milk thistle, and other foods and herbs that promote cleansing of the liver more gently and naturally.

Thanks for the advice for searching about leaky gut.

I'm about to start biofilm treatment after taking a break from treatment in general..

we'll see if i herx on this one since i didn't on just Biaxin alone.

I figure there has to be a wide array of reaction in the body to LD?

Meaning someone like myself could react with allergies, while someone else could react with more classic lyme symptoms...

does that sound like something that is possible? or am I just making this up?

thanks all
scott

I would like to know (if I can jump in on this) what is the drippage behind the face when laying down? It is accompanied by coughing in the morning, sometimes in the night.

It won't go away as quickly as it came on. What TBD is this?...and any thoughts to help it naturally while on antibiotics?

Thanks ,

2roads

I had a really interesting experience re psoriasis many years ago, way before I found out I had Lyme.

I had psoriatic plaques on my knees, elbows and next to my ears. I applied diprolene ointment for itch relief.

So, an alternative care expert told me to drink oxygenated water. The one I got from him he said he had gotten in Mexico. I drank it - kind of a strong fizz to it.

Within six days, I had no more psoriasis plaques. It was one of those amazing treatment experiences I had before I found out about Lyme.

So, who knew psoriasis could be related to a lack of oxygen in the bod?

And of course, given what we know about Lyme diminishing oxygen in the body, it makes perfect sense, tho at the time it made no sense to me.
