If so, which abx did you take with it? Do you know of any interactions with Enula and abx?

Did you also take Burber at the same time as Enula? I think I read that is done with the Cowden protocol.

Thanks,

I am taking Enula with Ceftin and have had no negative interactions. Burbur is for detox; enula is for a variety of microbes. I just watched a video of dr h at th autisim conference on Long Island talking about the promising nature of Enula

Thanks psr1 - I just watched a bit of that video tonight...is that the one from the 2008 conference? He is brilliant!

Which Dr. H was it? The one on the East Coast or West Coast?

I take Enula with antibiotics. I feel that Enula is DEFINITELY doing something. When I started it, I herxed with horrible headaches, faster pulse, and probably air hunger (felt more out of breath).

I was watching a video of Dr. H from NY who spoke at an autism conf. in 2008. Here is the video that sixgoofykids posted tonight...not sure if this is the one where he talks about Enula though....

do you need a prescription for enula? where do you get it?

It's from www.nutramedix.com (Cowden). It is herbal.

Kind of expensive, but eh....at least I feel like it is doing something.

I take Elecampane as an inexpensive substitute for Enula.

Elecampane is the main ingredient in Enula.

I take it with other herbals and abx.

I use it in combination with Coptis, Noni, Raintree brand Amazon A-P, Artemisinin, and Artemesia annua to keep the Babesia symptoms away, quite successfully.

For ten months i've used herbals alone for Babesia,; i have hardly any Babesia symptoms, as long as i take all those things (except pulsing the Artemisinin and Artemesia annua; i don't even take them very often), and Cryptolepis if i'm desperate, but i hardly take that at all.

Polly, was this approach recommended by Dr. S in FL?

Enula helped me with parasites ... roundworms (big ones) in particular. Huge help.

I don't know that it did much for babesia, but how can you tell when you're on so many things?!

thank you.

Enula was recommended to me too to 'enhance' the Artemesia which I haven't started yet. I felt the 'herxing' might be too much so I'm waiting for a while. Good thread.

No, i certainly couldn't afford Dr S in Florida. It's my own combo.

PS I also take Andrographis. I just watched the visdeo of Dr H at 2008 lyme-autism conference, where he mentions that Andrographis is an anti-malarial, so i guess i have to add that to my anti-babesia list.

Andrographis is a Buhner herb,; i take 1600 mg 3 x/day with food.

"Andrographis is an anti-malarial,"

i didn't know that-i get really sick on it. maybe i'm more full of babs than i thought

buhner says chronic lymies shouod not take either andrographis or astralgus...i forget which

i don't have the book with me and need to check...anyone here know?

Andrographis is good for chronic lyme; also helps to avoid winter colds and flues.

lpkayak- Buhner says that about astragalus. He DOES recommend andrographis for chronic Lyme.
