Hey guys. My doctor just prescribed me Factive and Tindamax... to pulse them. Factive for one week and then the Tindamax the next week... BUT I went to my pharmacy/CVS and they informed me that Tindamax is being discontinued so I could only pick up the Factive.
Has anyone heard this???? Weird! Now I am going to have to call my LLMD and see what he says.

My pharmacy just refilled my Tindamax this last week, 90 days
I think they are confused.

See my note on the Factive thread.
Think it is the generic and not the brand name being discontinued.

Oh great.... so it's going to be MORE expensive then? Factive is really, really expensive... I didn't want Tindamax to be expensive either. Augh.
By the way, CVS did call me this morning and woke me up to tell me that my Tindamax was now ready. REALLY weird. Yesterday they told me it was discontinued and this morning it's not. LOL. I have no idea, but sei you may be right.... it might be the generic is being discontinued which might be a bad thing for our wallets. Posted by daphnesmom (Member # 22267) on :
I just picked up my tindamax and it was my regular copay of $8.

There is no generic for Tindamax.

Ohhh, $8. Good to know it's not expensive.

What the heck!!! I just picked up my Tindamax and the copay was $25!!!!! So was the Factive I picked up yesterday. What's going on? The only other thing we had to pay $25 on was Mepron. Factive and Tindamax CANNOT be as expensive as Mepron!

I think it's a generic/name brand issue. My copay on both Factive and Tindamax is $50. My normal copay is $10.
I don't understand why, and it may vary with insurance, but for me my Factive Rx costs $50 whether it's 5 pills or 30, so I asked my LLMD to write the Rx in the largest amount he feels is appropriate.

Thanks, Wonko. That's really good to know.

My Tindamax copay was $40. The pharmacist told me the generic name was Tindazole.
However, I've been unable to find a pharmacy that can actually order Tindazole so that forces me to use the brand name and the expensive co-pay.

when I took tindimax, my copay was more like $35-$45. can't exactly remember. what a surprise.
