As a known side effect of med. Have heard of herbal preps but don't think they are going to be strong enough. Anyone have prescription suggestion for nausea?

I know you didn't ask for herbs and such, but I did want to share what ususally works for me. I do try ginger capsules or ginger tea which does take it down a notch. I also make sure my allergies aren't going down the back of my throat. If they are I take an allergy pill.
I try to time when I take stuff. If I'm going to take something that I know will upset my stomach, I usually will try to eat something first so I at least have some nutrition coming in.
I've also taken the drugs after a full meal to help. I find that dry things eaten in small portions throughout the day help to ease it up a little too.
A doctor once suggested dramamine motion sickness medicine. I haven't tried it yet though. I also talked to my pharmacist and she suggested a drug that she thought was wonderful. I can't remember the name of it, but I'd ask your pharmacist. If you want I can ask mine for you if you don't get answers.
Hang in there. Nausea is one of my more obnoxious symptoms that wax and wane. I know that it will go away again after treatment, but the nausea and weight lose are a pain.

Meclizine (Brand name Bonine) is an OTC medication that helps relieve nausea. It used to be a prescription med. You may have trouble finding it, so ask your pharmacist where they keep it. I usually find it in the motion sickness area. It helps me with mild to moderate nausea.
If you want an RX, ask for Zofran. There is a generic version out now so your insurance should pay for it. Zofran is the only medication that helps me when my nausea is bad.
If your insurance will not cover Zofran you could ask for phenergan RX. It can come in a suppository form if you are not able to swallow a pill. And it is an older med so it may be cheaper for you.
Hope one of these things works for you. Nausea is not fun. It still amazes me how debilitating this symptom alone can be.

My LLMD recommended "pure encapsulated peptic-care ZC."
My son had unrelenting nausea until he went on a gluten free diet. After a few years he had to remove other foods to continue to get relief.

Zofran, Ativan (low dose when needed) and phenegren. Also my LLMD has prescribed Merinol. They really help!

Can phernergan be taken same time as probiotic? When I need it, I really like to take it at night because it makes me sleep better, but I take my final dose of probiotic before bed.

Just FYI - I had a bad reaction to Phenegran, and a related antinausea drug, compazine.
I had hellish anxiety, started crying non stop, and I was sleepy, but I had an uncontrollable urge to move my entire body, like I needed to crawl out of my skin. They had to give me a shot of attivan and benedryl to get rid of it. There is a term for this reaction, can't remeber it though.
Phenegran and Compazine were initally developed as psychiatric drugs, and some poeple are sensitive to it.

Zofran worked for me when I was having this problem about three or four months ago. They dissolve under you tongue and work immediately.
