I am trying to get IV, insurance won't pay for any of it.
I have a company that offers really good prices on IV meds and supplies (infuserve america).
But I am trying to get an idea of how much it costs to get a Picc line or port installed, including the surgeon fees and hospital fees.
I know it varies around the US, but I just want to get an idea...
Thanks

I believe $1,000-$2,000 for the PICC placement. Probably MUCH more for a port as I believe you need to go under to get it installed.

My insurance picked up most of the cost of my PICC placement, but the pre-insurance bill was around $1600.
I had it done at a radiologist's office. Very quick--maybe an hour tops.
After that I had a home-visit nurse show me how to do the infusions and change the dressing. Insurance paid for this, so I'm not sure how much it would be private-pay.
Your LLMD might offer that service for you, or refer you to someone that they use.

My cost was around 3,000. My insurance covered most of it. The IV meds and maintenance for a year was mind blowing.

I have a chest wall port. It cost around $6,000 for the interventional radiologist, OR, etc.
I'm in a large city in CA, so prices are consistently higher here.
