I'm wondering if anyone here has had the experience of their heart racing when they go to bed and night (it also happens for me when I wake up in the middle of the night, which I've been doing about 5 or 6 times at least), and feeling like they have to pee about every 5 minutes. This has been happening for a few months for me and has gotten worse lately. Could this be a herx of some kind? Thank you for any thoughts!

What meds are you on? Certain abx's /meds can cause heart palp.'s.
I am on Biaxin and get a bit of a racing heart from it. Herx or drug side effect I am not sure but I have to take it in the AM or I will get zero sleep.
Did you have this issue prior to starting treatment? If it is getting worse you really should see your doctor.... TG

Blackbird, I had the racing heart waking up from sound sleep and at other times. Also shortness of breath at times. Mine was caused by Babesia.
Take care.

Fast heart rate and waking up so many times during the night are red flags for sleep apnea. Do you wake up with headaches? Do you fall asleep during the day? Do you snore? The fast heart rate before bedtime doesn't really fit though.
When I eat something that I'm allergic to my heart rate goes way up.

I wanted to second what Terryk said about the food allergies.
A few nights ago I ate some - well alot - of gluten. Bad move as I am gluten intolerant. My heart rate went up from the 50's to the 80's.
Remember it is not uncommon to develop food allergies when you have lyme/are in treatment so like Terry said food allergies that might be something to look into as well. TG
