My 9 yr old daughter's Lyme test came back + on only a couple of bands, but my LLMD said it was enough to treat with her symptoms. The rest of us are all CDC +.
He doesn't normally treat children, so was doing this as a huge favor to me, because all three of my children and me and my hubby have Lyme and Co.

Unfortunately, she was only able to be treated for two months of oral, mono abx because we have moved out of State. Last visit the LLMD was concerned because her tests show high Viral killers and very low Bacteria killers (neutrophils and lymphocytes are off).

He instructed me to start my little ones (the other child is 7) on Samento, since we moved out of state and there are no doctors here that would be willing to treat her. I also have them on Lauricidin, low dose Vit. D3 and B12.

She has been on the Samento for a little over two months now (although i have forgotten a few times to give it to them) at 6 drops a day ramping up.
She hasn't seemed to have any sort of herxheimer reaction.

But for the past few days now she wakes up with both of her feet "numb" and it hurts to walk for the rest of the day, especially first thing in the morning. She is also having pain inside her toes? Like, under the toenail and says she now has a straight ridge going across her toenail.

Both my kids tested neg. for co-infections (couldn't afford it through IGENEX though) but I do suspect Bartonella in all of us and I came back Pos. for RMSF and Mycoplasma.

My question is, I guess... what can I do for her and what could be causing it? Is this numb and then painful feet something to be very concerned about? Should I take her to a doctor or hospital?

She seems okay otherwise, but lately always has an anxious look on her face. And I'm concerned.
I can call my LLMD, but since we are no longer there I don't think there is much he can do. He won't prescribe her abx I'm sure.

Ugh.. I'm so tired of this disease.

Sounds like the samento has the babs (if that was what you where going after) uncontrol...now the bartonella is taking over.

Foot pain is associated with bart. Early morning foot pain is very normal. I'm not sure where you should go with a child. I hope someone with experience comes along with some ideas.

Take care,
Pam

Please look into the possibility of parasites/worms which can be a co-infection of Lyme. Check out the symptom list at Humaworm to see if anything rings true.

You can do a search on here for more info on Lyme and parasites. Humaworm carries herbs for children and it might be a good option for you.

I had numb feet for about six weeks, and my doc wanted to test for diabetes.

I started a B complex vitamin, and the next day the feeling returned.

Several months later I started a sublingual B12, and the pain in my feet reduced dramatically.

Some of your daughter's problems may be due to nutritional deficiencies.

I have been using Samento as well and my herxheimer didn't kick in until 8 drops. Something I have also been doing is accupuncture and I know that my doctor puts needles in between the first and second metatarsal and the big toe as well and he said those are big Lyme spots. Hope that helps and sorry to hear that your daughter is having such a rough time, but hang in there!
