My husband has been on 50mg doxy for 2 weeks. He is starting off really really slow because last time he freaked out at a higher dose and gave up completely. So far, it has been good -- according to him, even some possible improvement.
Yesterday he came home early with a splitting headache. Today leaving early with extreme fatigue and weakness. None of these were symptoms for him before. He thought it might be a herx.
So, my question is: is it possible to have improvement and/or herx at such a small dose? He had planned to increase the dose next week. If it is a herx, should he wait for the reaction to subside before increasing?

Also, should he slow down to every other day now, or keep it higher?

Pesonally, I would stop the meds until he feels better.. like a day or two. That is what *I* would do.
It would be better than pulsing.
and Yes, it's likely a herx. He may feel even worse in about 1-2 more weeks. The normal cycle of herxing is every 3-5 wks.
I hope he can UP his dosage within the next few months so he can really kill the keets!
