When you say "gashes" do they look like stretch marks, but red or pink? If so then that's indicitive of Bartonella.

I am constantly fighting sores on my hands & my feet. Even little paper cuts become a big deal for my hands.
They are so much more painful than they should be. My hands are always covered with several infected cuts.
My feet start out as skin breaks then turn into blisters. I finally got sick of treating these skin outbreaks/infections with OTC triple abx & Cortison 10 plus.
The healing of any sore on hands & feet takes 2-4 weeks or more with OTC to heal. Then it starts more sores.
Last week at PCP visit I showed them to him and he had seen me with skin eruptions before and I asked for some heavy duty rx to see if it heals faster.
He told me if the rx's don't help, he wants me to go to dermo to have biopsy to identify the bad guy.
I believe it is bart. Sometimes I wondered if it is staph that I know I'm carrying around in my body.
Hope some others come along and help us feel "we're not crazy".

They are parasites. I used to get these all the time. When they formed a scab and I picked at them a parasitic/worm would emerge.
Parasites and worms play a MAJOR role in Lyme disease. Check out
