To increase glutathione I took whey protein powder (undenatured) and used coffee enemas.
Glutathione is best in IV. My doc had me try it orally and in a cream, but neither helped at all. The coffee enemas helped tons! Drinking the whey was to be sure the precursors for it were there for when I did the enema.

I use Pharmax Glutathione Precursors. You can find more about it by Googling it. (Though if you want to buy, I'd suggest checking eBay. There's a woman on there who, as far as I can tell, sells cheaper than anywhere else I've found.)
I have also done two rounds of IV glutathione (four weeks of 2 IVs a week), during my darkest, nastiest herxes. Afterward, I felt better for a couple of weeks--better than I had during this entire illness.
So tomorrow, when I see my LLMD, I'm going to get another Rx for IV glutathione.
I've got a PICC so it's really easy for me to do the IV glutathione at home, and much cheaper than having to go into the doc's office.

Thanks for the information! I was wondering if the IV form was the way to go. Unfortunately I don't have a picc any longer so won't be able to do that unless I happen to get one placed again. I guess I will just do the coffee enemas and the whey powder. Do you have any suggestions for others things I could take orally that may help? Or do you think this is the best way to go for now?

You can get IV glutathione without a PICC.
My first round of IV glutathione was pre-PICC, so I just went in to the LLMD and the nurse administered the IV. Unfortunately more expensive, but still possible.

I think you can boost glutathione by taking NAC, L Glutamate, & L Tryptophane. I also took selenium.
It's hard for me to tell if it's actually being boosted. I haven't actually felt a difference. I did it for 30 days to see if I would feel different but I didn't notice a big change.
