One side of my face has always been a little droopy, but its... definitely more noticeable this morning.

I'm wondering if this is perhaps an allergic reaction I should be looking out for... or if, instead, the worsening of a symptom that would indicate that these antibiotics are putting up a good fight.

I was on amoxcillin for about 8 days before I started getting hives (surprise, allergic, apparently). I was just switched to omnicef- I'm pretty sure I've only been taking that for 4/5 days.

Ah... opinions?

I do actually have a doctors appointment today, coincidentally, but thought I'd hit up the forum before I leave.

Hey hey droopy..

Better your face be droopy than your pants!

(Yes, LymeTuTu... I am talking about YOU!)

[lol]

Anyhow.. dear... I am sorry about that problem popping up.

It can be from a cranial nerve situation and it could be a type of Bell's palsy.

IF that is the cause of the droopy face.. it is fairly common in Lyme patients. Not pretty, but fairly common.

I've had it several times in the past and it has resolved with treatment. Sure hope yours does!

Good luck at the doctors today!

I heard that, Tincup!!!!

Nexus... I would THINK that the abx could be causing a herx and that could make your Bells Palsy worse...??

Herxing involves stirring up old symptoms as well as bringing up "new" Lyme symptoms you've never had before.
