Okay, my husband just threw this out at me, so I thought I'd post it here.
He suddenly has the idea that my symptoms over the past alomst 2 years may not be caused by Lyme and co., but may actually be the result of drinking water in our system after we had a water softener installed.
I can't remember when exactly we got it installed or when my sx started in relation to that, but I told him I don't think that's it, especially with positive test results.
In any case, he wants me to stop drinking the water from our faucets and our refrigerator (we get the water from the door, it's one of those) and start drinking either bottled water or water that hasn't gone through the filter system.
just wondering what anyone else thinks....

- First, sadly, no one should be drinking bottle watered anymore. There is so much news each day about the severe dangers of plastic bottles.
Countertop filters are adequate. Enviro 10-stage water filter or something like that works fine for me. -

Some people opt for the cold in the kitchen sink being the only water that doesn't go through the softner. I know if our cold was not softened, with all the scale in our water here, it would present a problem in the fixtures. I remember the condition our toilets were in when we bought the house.
That being said, all the water we drink is purified with an additional system (RO).

After discussing this with my husband who is a water treatment specialist and has been for 27 years..the treatment system would be the softener
on the entire house (hot and cold) and the Reverse Osmosis for drinking and cooking but there is NO harmful effects from drinking softened water.
He also recommends that a good water test be done by a good third party (he recommends National Testing Labortories)and not the person selling the equipment.
If anybody has any questions at all..he would be more than happy to answer them.

According to the doctors I have visited and talked with in the Phoenix valley and the articles I read, the best water for us has oxygen in it and has a higher pH than we get from softened water.
I cannot afford the good stuff, so use distilled water, then add mineral drops & one pH drop.
