I just spoke with a parent whose daughter has had lyme in the past and may still have it. She is going to the Mayo Clinic for stomach problems. The daughter is severely thin. I told the mother how when I was sicker that I had more severe stomach problems BEFORE i was treated with antibiotics. I was untreated for 8 years.
The stomach problems ranged from severe pain..like pancreatitis or something...to slow stomach emptying where it felt like a lead ball was in my stomach all day after eating and I had no appetite as a result. Slow gastric emptying. The mother said that her daughter experienced much or these same symptoms.
The mother is very health concious and has never had her daughter on antibiotics but has had extensive natural treatments for her.
I am wondering if there is a certain thread here on Lymenet or a link that speaks of autonomic gastric dysfunction and a possible relation to Lyme? Any thoughts would be much appreciated

My gastroparesis is getting much better after I have been using antiparasitics and salt/c.
Parasites and worms play a huge part in lyme disease. Do a search on here for parasites and Lyme.

This is a very good article about the many gastro-intestinal symptoms caused by Lyme disease and other tick-borne infections. It was posted on this site some time ago.
It takes a while to read the entire paper, but it's very informative. Here's the link:
