My 18 yr. old and I both started oral abx within the past month. He's on 200 mg/day Minocycline and I'm on 400 mg/day Doxycycline.
Is one more effective than the other?

Ok- I'm not an expert on this. But the first doctor I saw said that Doxycycline is really popular because it treats some of the co-infections as well as Lyme. I am on Minocycline, because my doctor says it can penetrate better into the brain than some of the other drugs. I haven't been on doxycycline yet (my doctor doesn't prescribe it in the summer), but I am on the same does minocycline as your son
