Just curious, as I have been having episodes every 4 weeks, the past 3 months, like a flare up or something. Could be lyme flares or herx; but are there other illnesses that have 4 week cycles?

Not that I'm aware of. I'm not sure many illnesses have definitive cycles like this. Could it be hormonal issues? I wonder if parasites reproduce on a schedule?

The way I understand it is that these cells without walls have a four week life cycle. Then I believe they can only be killed off when they are reproducing (every 4 weeks).
So it sounds like you are right on schedule! I am new to this stuff so you might want to ask a more seasoned lymie.

Q fever pneumonia, malaria, heterologous leptospira infection, neurosyphilis, secondary syphilis treatment, all of which are believed to kill a bacteria or parasite releasing a toxin and the body's response to this is the jarisch-herxheimer or herx reaction. That's my understanding, anyway...I"m not a doctor ;-)
