it says to be careful with vit b 12 because it is a methylator and turns Mercury into methyl mercury

my LLMD gave me b12 supplements for my nerves that I've been taking..should I be concerned?

No- Just about every Lyme patient is supping B12.

you'd hear a lot more about this if it were a main issue.

Regarding both symptoms and treatment methods: Lyme trumps mercury sometimes; sometimes mercury trumps lyme.

If a patient is severely deficient in B-12, somehow, it is necessary to supplement that. With other precautions, this can work.

I don't know all the details, but the brain - all nervous tissue - MUST have B-12, somehow. And, as with all things lyme, nothing is simple so more reading from various authors.

You might see what Klinghardt has to say about this. Just Google his name, cross search with both mercury and lyme and you should find his site. He has a lyme protocol site that should answer your question.

Using methyl b-12 shots is a lot more dangerous than using oral b-12 supplements.

Methyl b-12 enters the system and mobilizes mercury and redistributes it at a much faster rate than orals. (if orals do at all, I am unsure)

This is a very interesting link and talks specifically about patients who are mercury toxic and how best to supplement with b12.

BackinStOlaf - Just my opinion, but I would not have any amalgams removed until I read much of the 'Allergie-Immun Germany' thread. You just might add even more Mercury to your system, esp. with 20 of them.

I have amalgams and according to the AI folks, I cleared after round 5 of the drops. Must have a couple of amalgams removed because of damage and replaced with non-amalgams. Should I decide to remove the rest of my metal, I will do so slowly and carefully, so my body is able to handle the residual.

Whatever you decide, I wish you the best.
