I've had a PICC line for 12 weeks now. I've done 6 weeks of Rocephin (with oral Flagyl) and 5 weeks of Invanz (with oral Alinia). Last night, the RN from my LLMD's office called to tell me to stop both abx because my liver enzymes are high. One was around 150, the next one was around 160 and the last one was over 200 (didn't write it down during call).
Of course, I'll be taking a break from abx, but are there some other things I can do to help my liver recover?

- What is your liver support now? With some simple adjustments, this should get better.
Do you have Singleton's book "The Lyme Disease Solution" ? Many good suggestions there.
Be sure to avoid Acetaminophen as that is very hard on the liver. (And Ibuprofen is very hard on the kidneys, so that's also more stress for the entire body.)

3/4 of the way down page one at this thread are many good LIVER SUPPORT links:
Kim - i did Rocephine for 8 months and at one point my liver enzymes also elevated over a short period of time.It wentr from normal to the low 100's and was tracking higher.
I was concerned also. I started to take Milk Thistle and my levels in short order went back down to normal levels and i never stopped the rocephine.
I was very impressed by this. Its easy to be skeptical of the effects of herbs becuase often times you do not "see" the results.
But the results of Milk Thistle were clear to me after that happened.
Please try it. I hope you have the same results as me
