I thought his would be great viewing pleasure for this board. Caught a clip of what the worms look like living in many a few minutes ago. They have the show on twice daily on different channels in my city so I should be able to watch it.

It's great that Dr. Oz is aware of this, I just wish he would put Oprah on a parasite cleanse because it can be a reason why she keeps gaining weight.
Darn, I just saw this post and turned on the show only to catch the end of it. Did he have any solutions and what in essence did he say?

All I saw was a preview ad so I will either watch it in 45 min. or later this afternoon on another channel. Fox is one channel that carries Oz. Can't remember the other.
So Oprah is full of worms and that is reason she has a weight problem.... Posted by glm1111 (Member # 16556) on :
I saw the info about the possible connection between obesity and parasites on another site. Just can't remember which one. Everytime I see Oprah, it reminds me of it.
Oprah has done some wonderful things for people and this is not meant to be disparaging.

I saw the entire segment and he talked about the 3 most common worms. Pin worms, Tape worms and round worms. He showed them in a jar and a video of what they were like in the intestines.
He had a Dr. on who actually ingested a tape worm larva to see how it would grow in 3 months. He expelled it with Rx and mag. salts. He did not give any herbal suggestions at all but said it can be cured with Rx. and that millions of people have them and do not know it. He named some vague symptoms but did not go into details. He also discussed how you can get them from food and transfer to others.

Wow, that's horrible that they had him ingest a tapeworm larvae on purpose!
I had tapeworms and roundworms. Yucky. Feel much better since I evicted them.

Thanks for the update Stacy. Anyone catch the name of the rx the doc used to get rid of it?

I wonder how many people will be applying scotch tape to their rears and looking for pinworms (this was mentioned as a way of detecting them, especially in children since they can make your anal area itchy). I honestly had not heard of this trick.

I saw an episode of House, where the patient had an
immune disease and they had to give him back his
worms. Can't remember which episode, but his
antibodies attacked good cells, if it did not have
something for the antibodies to hit on. Weird.

Not a good idea IMO. If the eggs aren't expelled in the stool, they can disseminate and cause a hyperinfection.

Were you responding to Tif's statement?

I was responding to the article six posted about the doctors in the Uk implanting worms in people.
