I am on IV therapy on 1 GR of Rocephin. I will move it up to 2 when I can handle the dose. I have been on for 7 days and my heart rate went down to 45. I was dizzy, but I have gotten through the day, it is now hovering around 55 - 60. I called to lyme doc to report this and ask other questions and it seems as if they are just passing the buck annoyed that I don't deal with this very well. Actually I was told that.
I was at a cardiologist just 2 weeks ago and he said everything was fine and it was the lyme.
The LLMD had a person call me togo off of the medicine and see if it goes away, if it doesn't go to a cardiologist! He knows he just sent me What does that mean. Is he just ****ed or playing it safe or really answering my question?
Really curious?

Playing it safe!
Was your heart rate that low when you saw the cardiologist?

The only way to know if its the medcation or just the lyme, would be to go off the med and see if you feel better. I guess thats what he's saying.
If you go on a medication and have a reaction, it's likely the medication did it. If you were already having this symptom before the medication, then its probably just the lyme.

No, the cardiologist, said after the first week of rocephin, my heart rate was unstable and that he would do an echo to see if there were any issues. He did note it was unstable.
The cardiologist specifically said he thought it was lyme causing this unsteady heart rate. He believed these symptoms or irregularity were do to the lyme or the treatment.
What else can a person do? What if I had not taken my heart rate. It seems to sit steady at 50-55 now it is usually 71 standing.

I personally think it is die off, but going on the Rocephin and off is taking its toll. Sometimes don't we just push through. I have to apologize. I am really usually good with all the lyme stuff, but this is difficult and very tiring.

I would just do what the dr's office suggested and go from there.

I know your frustration. We want to push through because we think it will get us well quicker. But I agree with Lymetoo. Your doctors advice is correct.
Don't despair. It will work out. There are plenty of other medications to try.

Thanks, I am sure after some detox, he will let me try it again after a few days off. We are just going weary.
Thank you everyone.
