How come i still have that stiff neck after a year and a half of meds? Im now treating w/bicillin, mepron, zithromax, and diflucan. It seems as though there is a correlation between the amount of sleep I get and the stiffness I fell... the less sleep, the more stiffness, everytime---thoughts?

I have a stiff neck frequently, so I feel your pain. It can be my most troubling symptom at times. I relate it with Babesia. Do you have Babesia? Also, my migraines seem to start in my neck, so migraine meds work on it sometimes. I also use heat on it. I haven't noticed the correlation with sleep, but I will pay better attention.

I associate my stiff neck with lyme. It use to be constant, and now is off and on. My neck will get stiff and the most pain is at the base of my skull. Also feels like I have swollen glands in my neck.

Not sure if it relates to sleep or not; but I do feel worse in general if I don't get much sleep. Insomnia is an issue for me, so if I sleep less than 5 hours, I feel worse.

Lymph Nodes building up?

I get this problem too. It's inflammation.

Might try anti-inflammatories (omegas)
and some rebounding techniques (mini-trampoline)

hezzer,

Really look into lymph drainage. Your system is backed up.

I went to a lymph massage and the lady said "omg I've never seen someone this full of toxins."

i said, "You've never met a Lymie."

... with that being said you don't have to see a masseuse to get the job done. I only went 2 times to get me kick-started.

now I drain on my own.

canefan17,

What do you do to drain on your own? What kind of things?

Thank you!

I to have a stiff neck...LLMD said it was from the Lyme/co infec. Strange though it only seems to be on the right side.

I also get the "headaches" at the base of skull/neck.

Im not sure if it comes from lack of sleep necessarily as much as when I get upset but it might, as when I am tired EVERYTHING seems to go to "pot".

I know that I have A LOT of drainage... Always have...I used to contribute it to "sinus" and I have never heard of the lymph drainage (very interesting) but I think mine seems to be more muscle.

Good Luck

Mine is horrid too and can go from a little bad to stiff as a board in a minute. I swear I can feel bugs crawl or some neuro incident when it happens. [Frown]
