Can this be taken if you are on abx? Does it come in liquid or capsules? What is the daily dosage?
I am trying everything for yeast, as I don't want to have to stop rifampin in order to take diflucan.

I bought some from Nature's Way and it comes in capsules. It says on the bottle to take 2 a day but I guess that could be adjusted... I am on day 3 of taking (2) a day and not noticing any differences, mabe it won't effect me, or I need to up the dose, or it will take a while. I did to quite a bit of Cat's Claw by natures way and it didnt really do much for me.

- Yes, it can be taken while on abx - but take it a few hours away and also away from probiotics.
You won't notice anything spectacular nor should you - other than avoidance of candida. Take away from probiotics as it is antimicrobial and will lessen the effectiveness of probiotics.
Over time, OLE should help with a basic sense of well-being. But don't expect any huge fireworks sort of bells and whistles. It's not like that. It is subtle in the way it supports the body.
Myrolea-B (White Tiger) is a simple formulation of highly concentrated extracts from four Chinese herbs and one Western herb.
The Chinese herbs include forsythia and lonicera, two of the key ingredients of Ilex 15 (and the main antiviral ingredients of Yin Qiao Jie Du Pian), thus boosting the dosage of these essential ingredients.
Myrolea-B also contains the antiviral agents scute (huangqin) and terminalia (hezi). The Western herb in this formulation is olive leaf, which is one of the primary anti-viral herbs derived from the European tradition.
SHUANGHUANGLIAN: Potent Anti-Infection Combination of Lonicera, Forsythia, and Scute - by Subhuti Dharmananda, Ph.D., Director, Institute for Traditional Medicine - 2003
Shuanghuanglian (SHL for short) is a modern formula that was devised in the 1960s to treat a variety of infections. It is comprised of the alcohol-water extracts of three herbs: lonicera (shuanghua, often called jinyinhua), scute (huangqin), and forsythia (lianqiao). . . .
. . . One of the early preparations of the SHL was a tablet made of equal proportions of the extracts of each herb. This was used to treat leptospirosis, a disorder caused by a spirochete bacteria, related to the organism that causes Lyme disease.
Leptospirosis causes initial symptoms of fever and chills, headache, and muscle ache (especially in the shoulders); these are consistent with "flu-like" symptoms described for the onset of many acute infections.
In a 1971 report, the formula was described as being made in 500 mg tablets derived from 3.7 grams of the crude herbs, and being administered in doses of 10-15 tablets (thus, equivalent to the extract of 37-55 grams of herbs) every 6 hours (1), a very high dosage.
. . . Recently, Shuanghuanglian has been applied successfully to treatment of Coxsackie B3,
. . . The general indications for SHL . . . are "relieving the exterior syndrome, clearing away heat and toxic material," and its indications are "treatment of fever, cough, and sore throat that arise from wind-heat syndrome."
It is said to have "a good action in treating upper respiratory tract infection, tonsillitis, laryngopharyngitis, pneumonia, acute enteritis, viral dysentery, etc., when caused by virus or bacterial infection."

Why does the OLE have to be taken away from supplements and antibiotics?
I was never told this and have been taking it about an hour after antibiotics and right along with my other supplements.

ole is an antifungal and antibiotic. If you take it with your probiotics it may kill some of them and make them not effective. You can take them with antibiotics I think, but space away from probiotics.
This is the same with other antifungals that are also antibiotics. RE grapefruitseed extract, Oil of Oregano, garlic and others.

I actually said that wrong in the above post.
I take it WITH my antibiotics, then take my supplements a while after that.
I do take three times a day though and the afternoon dose gets taken with my probiotics.
I'll have to space them out.
Thanks for the response.

Have been on OLE for over a year, it is an amazing herb and even beat a co-infection in me (not the abx, they weren't specific for the co I had).
Tons of information/links here and yes I take it w/abx midday no problems, that question and others are answered here:

My LLMD recommended a specific brand (Olivus) that I bought on-line. I got 1,000 pills for....I think it was $80.00. He said this was the best brand. He also said to start slow because I could get a herx from it, but the "optimal dose" would be 2 capsules 3 times a day.

- JunkYardWily,
There is no generic for Olive Leaf Extract. It's from the plant material and plants cannot be trademarked like pharmaceuticals.
Ohhhh . . . I see . . . you mean a generic brand, less expensive than the front runner brands.
There are many brands that are not as good as others. You want a top quality brand even if you have to take less. However, you might check the "NOW" brand. Although moderately priced, they products seem to be of good quality.
See what Morton suggests (Sea-something but I cannot recall the exact name):
