How did you doctor determine you had lyme and not Parkinsons?

My uncle has diagnosed Parkinsons (he has family history) and is now looking into lyme, as he had tick bite and bulls eye the year symptoms started.

He is so confused learning about lyme, and is still looking for an LLMD who knows both - can you help us see how the Parkinsons presentation may differ from typical lyme and answer whatever questions you can:

-Have you heard of having both?
-Were diagnostic tests clearly lyme or did the doc make a clinical call
-How agressive did treatment start?
-Were improvements quick or slow?
-Were herxheimers bad?
-How long have you been treated?
-How well are you doing?

If you really liked your doctor, please share. Were they a neurologist who knew a lot about Parkinsons?

Thanks!

My father had Parkinson's .. which I think was really Lyme... and/or Lyme CAUSED the Parkinson's.

It was too late for him by the time I found out I had lyme and that that was likely what he had.

PS.. NO neurologist will treat for Lyme .. well, maybe one percent... but do NOT see the LL neuro in northern TX for help. UGH.

Hi Sue --

I am in Austin also --
I got bit in about 1988 at Stone Lake
off Braker and 183 ---

I saw the BullsEye rash -
Had No clue what it was-

Started getting sick about a month later-

Went to a Dozen Ductors that had Zero Clue what was wrong with me -

Zero Doubt in my mind that I have Lyme --
Started treatment --

Now After Several yoars of treatment--
I feel Perty Good -- So You Can Too -

You need to find a LLMD -
( Lyme Literate Doctor)

Lyme and the Other Diseases that ticks carry
can give you symptoms Similar to what
Parkinson's are like --

Shakes-jerks -fumbles-- loss of control of hands ect -hard to speek- off balance - Foggy brain -

Seeing the Bullseye Rash is More Conclusive
than ANY Lyme test Now Available --

The tests are Very Inacurate --

So Dont put much faith in
a Negative Test result --

Depending how Long you have been sick-
AND what Diseases the Tick infectuded
you with has Great Influance on how
long before Improvment in your
health will happen -

Each Tick could carry 5 or more different
diseases--

From One Tick bite you can get
Several Infections --

Most people have More than Just Lyme infection --

So getting Well again can take more time
than we All would like -- But its Doable --

There is a Lyme Group that meets
here in Austin-

I will send you a PM --Jay--

Parkinsonism has usually environmental toxicity, heavy metal toxicity, dental infection and bacterial, viral and parasitical infections at its base.

My husband deals with this and I have met a couple hundred people like it. School medicine still has no solution but Sinemet and few others that don't work, much less stop the problems.

I have yet to meet the person who is only dealing with Lyme infection when Parkinsonism appears. Every one of Dr. K's patients with PD diagnosis has found to be toxic and infected with not only Lyme, but other microorganisms.

Lyme is a multifactorial disease and it needs to be addressed like that. One of the major problems is Autonomic Nervous System dysregulations in the DNA that are often inherited, but can easily be corrected with www.allergie-immun.de if done before major permanent organ/brain damage happens. My children inherited my husband's dysregulations relating to certain foods (grains) and have inherited some different ones that I used to have and are successfully being treated with Allergie Immun.

Take care.
