Hello there, everybody. Hope you are all

doing good and not herxing to bad!!!

I was diagnosed with Lyme or Masters

disease, by DR. C. form MO. last summer. Ever

since then we have been treating with ABX.

Firtst did Ceftin for about 2 months pulsing

here and there because of stomach issues, then

went on to Doxy and finished with Azithromacyn.

Now we are going to treat Babesia I was sent the

protocol, but I was wondering what to expect

(specially those treated by the same LLMD).

Also what are the symtoms of Babesia???? DR. C.

said that I have a couple of them, like:

Chills & fevers. But what else???

Thank u kindly for your answers.

Sincerely

Ira

Here is the complete list of possible symptoms... you may have a few of them, or many.

I took mostly clindamycin/quinine for babesia. Took quite awhile to clear it, but we finally did....same dr!

(later finished it off with artemisinin and zith)

You're in good hands! [Cool]

Ira, it depends. In my opinion, the 40-day protocol cannot and will not put Babesia into any remission or close. Babesia, depending on the strain, is a mean beast.

Also, I highly recommend pushing very hard to make your doc say what he feels is your true co-infections if you haven't underwent testing (which isn't reliable sometimes, but surely worth the effort to try). There's more reason to put in on the line when your doctor can look you in the eye and say this is what I truly believe you have.

Other symptoms based on what I've experienced/read are head pressure, air hunger, horrid fatigue, some eye issues, off-balance feeling, night sweats, temperature intolerance, and more.

Babesia treatment can't be a do it today, skip a month tomorrow approach based on most accounts here. it's a 5+ month journey and maybe longer. Some LLMDs just start smack day one and say we're going to take Babs down. Others test the waters.

Be educated about all approaches. [Smile]

I think a good combo is Tindamax plus cipro. Tindamax is an antiprotozoa, an anitbiotic, and also is reputed to be an excellent LD cystbuster - even better than flagy.

Cipro is supposed to help shuttle the abx into the cells to increase tissue saturation and well as to treat bart.

This combo has worked wonders for me within 4 weeks after almost 2 years on other abx.
