Has anyone had a poor response to zoloft for depression during treatment for lyme and babesia? How about buspar. The psyshiatrist has up the zoloft, but as depressed as ever. Also lots of angry feelings at times.

I believe there are very mixed reviews and opinions on the use of Zoloft and other psych meds for lyme-related depression.
How long have you been on the Zoloft, and what dosage are you on now?
Some people will tell you not to take anything like zoloft. Personally I feel that there is a time when it is necessary and beneficial. Lexapro is one that has been helpful to me and to others.
Sometimes it takes tweaking and even switching.
I hope you feel better soon...Some of the treatment you are on might be making the depression worse- and for this, I personally don't think the Zoloft would be helpful.
Mepron, for example, and Biaxin, have brought on significant depression for me. I am currently on mepron and my mood is pretty bad. Not majorly depressed, but close.
Hope you feel better very soon - jl

I personally had horrific experiences with Zoloft, Lexapro and Xanax before starting tx for Lyme.
All three did the exact opposite of what they were supposed to, and I had to fight the urge to go jump off my roof after taking any of them.
I had been on Zoloft right after my first child was born, and I had no issues with it then.
