How does one know for sure if they have the various lyme co infections? Are there specific tests that are run, or is it more of a clinical determination based on the persons symptoms?

There are tests for some of the coinfections. Quest, Labcorp, IGenex are just some of the labs that run them.

BUT... symptoms can often point in the direction of a coinfection too... and tests are not always picking up the coinfections.

Co-infections are best tested at Igenex, Labcorp showed me Bart negative and Igenex showed me Bart positive consistently.

If they turn up negative the first time around, test again at a later date. Co-infections don't always show up in the first, second or even third tests. Some people find out years later they had co's all along.

My LLMd will test for co's a few times per year.
