I was diagnosed with Lyme in October 2009. I have been on antibiotic treament since then. I currently take 500 mg zithromax, 1000 mg Ceftin, and 1000 mg tindamax, 600 mg magnessium, and 2 pills of VSL3 probiotic daily. Oh I also take 10 drops of crypto plus with water.
I am wondering about my newest symptom. It involves a tingling feeling in my right leg. It started off by having mini flares of heat going to it. Like someone has a lighter close to my leg. This was on and off for 2 days. And tonight my leg is very tingly from my knee down. Especially in my foot.
I see my LLMD on Friday, but I am wondering if there is anything I can do for it in the time being.
Is this a bad sign of something else going on ?
I must add when all of my Lyme symptoms began I had this type of feeling in my hands at first. And oddly enough I have also felt it in my head before. But now it's my leg.
Can anyone offer advice. It would be greatly appreciated. Everyone has helped me out so much on this website, and I really appreciate all of your suggestions.

I have had the worst leg pain, in both legs and into my feet. Much of it neuro sensations that started as tingling, later turned painful when I started abx.
My LLMd thinks the connection might be Bart. But even when I overcame Bart and I still had "episodes" of it. It was suggested possibly Babesia, which I have tested over and over and over again negative. Still wondering about Babs, because we all know testing isn't perfect.
Now they think it has to be a Lyme symptom.
I have had tingling and all kinds of neuro pain from my scalp, jaw, back, legs quite literally head to toe.
The combo of Biaxin/Amoxi helped some.

This sounds familiar, for Lyme. I believe this kind of thing is due to lyme attacking nerves. DaveS

I also have a co infection of babesia. I have a feeling that the babesia symptoms outweigh my Lyme symptoms. And from what I have read on this site, babesia is much harder to get rid of than Lyme.
Lymebytes- I also have episodes of a sore scalp. My scalp feels almost tender to the touch sometimes. From time to time I also get stabbing pains on the left side of my head. It feels like someone is jabbing something into my head. I cringe from the pain. I have a feeling that this is causing the strange pain on my right leg. Because the left side of the brain controls the right side of the body, and vice versa. My mother in law has a meningioma and has seizures on the right side of her body. Her meningioma is on the left side of her brain.
I sure do have a lot of questions for my LLMD tomorrow!!!

I would be inclined to believe that most neuro symptoms would be more likely to be from lyme.
I have had lots of tingling, burning, stabbing pains, etc and I don't really have symptoms of babs.
However.....I am not a doctor! Who knows what can take place with this illness. Maybe its the mystery bug!

When I was treating lyme aggressively I had tingling and isolated chills here and there. I also had muscle spasms and cramps. I think the abx is probably knocking it out and the toxins are affecting your nerves. Mine is pretty much gone.

It could be just a weird lyme manifestation but always be mindful of DVT, especially if heat and swelling are present. These infections can cause some degree of hypercoagulation that should always be in the back of the mind when isolated leg symptoms spring up...
