Had Igenex Lyme test 2 years ago...12 bands reacted with IND or +. 8 of the 12 bands were Lyme Specific.
Had my first EBV test recently. All 3 indicators were highly positive - can give details if needed?
My question:
Does anyone know how and EBV infection (which I certainly have and apparently 95% of the US has) affect the Igenex Lyme test results?
Why does Igenex include bands that are not considered Lyme specific?
I currently only have Neurological symptoms (neuropathy, single ear tinnitus, persistent bad sleep cycles for over 3 years).
Can anyone make sense of the Igenex Lyme test vs. standard labs testing of EBV (Epstein Barr Virus)

Hello ChuckG:
Thanks for your response, I want to be clear on what your saying?
For the Igenex WB, are you saying only the IGM is potentially viral influenced?
For the viral testing, such as I just had for EBV, is an IGG test result irrelevant/inaccurate? BTW, I just posted my LabCorp EBV results in another thread.
