i have the mother of all headaches.

i increased my herbs to three each three times a day. i've only done it for two days.

but arrghhh, my head is killing me. it's in the very front top portion of my head, right where you would do the lobotomy!!!

plus my ears feel like they are swelling and every phone in the nation is going off in my ears the ringing is so loud!!

i don't know if i should go back to two each three times a day or if this is a herx or what, but man oh man....

headache from hell...

took my bp and it's 175 over 116. ouch...

and oh yes, of course, the diahrrea. must be the herbs or something.

i hate this, i really really do.

help....

Randi
I had a migraine so bad yesterday I was about to call 911. I have no idea where it came from? I did not change anything and I had a good day prior.

Scary stuff. I just layed in bed taking deep breaths and was so naseated from it all. And I could not move for hours. I took all the pain meds I had access to including MOrphine and other over the counter stuff and nothing was helping.

I tried to drink water when I could.

I mean. What do you do when it hits that bad? I have no idea? Try to get through it I guess??

I got through it but still have NO idea what it might be from. I do not have a LONG history of Migraines. Here and there they will hit.

THis one was the worst I remember since being in the hosptial with sepsis.

So what the heck?

I wish I had an answer for you.. Hang in there and drink water and stay hydrated and lots of deep breathing and relaxing.

And call or go into the ER if you have to!!!

It sounds like you may need to back off a little on the herbs.

What herbs are you taking right now? And how much?

Was your BP high before you started this protocol?

It might be a good idea to start one herb and work up to full dose before starting another. That way you might be able to figure out what is causing the headaches, increased BP, and diarrhea.

Do you know what came first - the high BP or the headache?

2+ wks. ago I was brought to ER by ambulance from dr. office with BP 190/116 (also confusion and other sx) turned out I had a subdural hematoma.

2 days later had the same kind of headache as you described BP still elevated 187/110. I was still in hospital given several doses IV BP meds and Morphine for headache.

Have had it the other way around too.... severe headache with very high pressure but once the headache gone (with heavy duty narcotics) BP went down.

You might consider going to an ER to be treated as your BP is very close to a dangerous level.

In any event I would stop the herbs. If you have diarrhea could be worse because you could be dehydrated.

What are you taking?

Are you still taking flagyl? Regardless, it may be wise to STOP everything except the flagyl and a good liver support.

Have you tired carob powder for the diarrhea? My guess is it would be the smilax causing GI distress. It may not be meant for you. Be sure to drink a fair amount of water, with replacement minerals and electrolytes.

no, no flagyl.

andrographis, resveratrol, and cat's claw. i think the cat'[s claw is 500 mg, andrographis is 400 and resveratrol is 40 mg.

i had mexican food for lunch (i know, i know, but i was soooo hungry. i had chicken quisadellas and a glass of tea).

that's all i had today.

my chest still hurts. i'm really scared as it's left side and middle. no numbness or anything just pain and now bp is still 129 over 93.

i think i'll stop all herbs for awhile and go back to my llmd. he likes the cowden anyway.

damn, this is getting expensive ain't it?

I feel your pain. Literally! It really is a drag.

Hang in there and I hope it eases up, for both of us!!

It sounds like you are having a herx from the herbs.

Time to help my son with math homework. Gotta love that with a riproaring headache and nausea!!!

Take care of yourself!
