I talked my doc into giving me the Western Blot for Lyme. I had blood drawn on Monday, it is the only test they are doing. The sample then goes to New Jersey. I was under the impression that it then goes to a referance lab. I called Labcorp customer service and they told me it is being done in Jersey and the process has started and it may not be done until next week cause it takes that long. Does it really take that long?
It is test #258004 - Lyme Disease antibodies, Including reflex to western blot positives.

I just had a blood draw yesterday for myself and my "regular" doctor told me somewhere between 1-2 weeks I think the actual process takes 3 days .

- When you get results, it's good to look at the date drawn, date received, date performed. Hopefully, that process will take just few days and the rest of the time is just processing the paper work, not the sample. -

Yes. When done through the best lab (Igenex), it will take about 3 wks.
