I read on one of the threads that someone uses a topical numbing cream for when they get their bicillin shots. What is the name of it and where can I get it? My bicillin shots are killing me.

It is a prescription cream. I don't know of any over the counter ones that are recommended.
It's Lidocaine/Prilocaine cream, and the brand name is "EMLA Cream."

You could try Lidocaine transdermal patches. You'll need an Rx for them.

The Emla cream is waaay cheaper than the Lidoderm patches (although the Lidoderm patches are great for other pain). If you use the Emla 1 hour or more ahead of time, use a big dollop, put a bandage/band-aid over it, the shots don't hurt at all!
And, if you use a moist heating pad, or a hot bath/shower after, and either massage the area, or walk around after, that also helps A LOT.

Anyone here who's no longer getting shots have any Emla left over?
Also- I just priced it at overseas pharmacies (ie pharmacychecker.com) . What does it actually cost in the US at Costco/Walmart types of pharmacies?

Generic EMLA cream was very cheap. It was only a few dollars if I remember correctly. You use such a small amount that one tube will last you several months. Mine lasted about 9mo. I did not need a refill.
You could call your local pharmacy to ask them. Prices will probably be cheaper at Walmart or Costco but CVS might be friendlier/more willing to take the time to quote prices over the phone.
