I beleive I am experiencing an Bart Herx or Bartonella symptoms, I am presently treating with Rifampin/Mino/ceftin
I have EXTREME Anxiety, it really is very severe
Jumping in my face, like twitching especially around my jaw
This is AWFUL and I can not seem to get any peace from it - it only started to get this bad after starting these meds
Is this normal for Bart as its TERRIBLE

I am not sure what is normal as far as these co-infections go, but I do know I am having the same symptoms. I started mino last week and
have had a hard time. I am not even sure if it is that or just a relapse. Before I started the
mino I felt like symptoms were slowly coming back. Now that I started the mino I really am
not feeling good. What are some of your other symptoms with bart? I am expericing a lot of cns symptoms. I feel sick to my stomach and have had bad headaches. Some of these feel like babs symptoms.
Are you taking any anti-anxiety meds? At least it will get you through this herx. I find lemon water helpful w/ powder vit. c in it.

I am on ativan at high doses with anti seizure meds as i started to seizure a while back - so yet another Horrific CNS symptom - my symptoms are all very CNS but the ativan does not seem to touch the anxiety

I take a tiny bit as ativan as needed. Works for me when things are really bad. AT least now it does.

Bart treatment had me tearing my hair out, sure I was cracking and would go insane. It is hard, but well worth it in the end.
Xanax mellowed me and helped me get through 9 months of it...TWICE because I was re-infected.

Oh YES IMO its the worse bug to treat - I have only just started treating it but am determined to continue - The bugs are SO out as even ths morning INSANE facial twitching, as I am on Lyme and Bart meds.
I dont know what the twitching relates too - strangely my anxiety is much worse late afternoon and night. My inderstanding is that is normal with bart and I get terible twitching all through my ears.
