Eleven articles about Litium Orotate (not regarding use with lyme, just in general).

Lithium interferes with thyroid meds, in case that is a factor.

Actually, I tried it years ago after reading an article about it with lyme (perhaps in Townsend Letter, so you might search their site).

For me, it made me worse. It's actually depressant in nature and -even with very low dose - increased the fatigue, muscle weakness, and even made seizure threshold lower. I gave it a couple tries over time.

This is not the way others seemed to react as one LL ND mentioned in the article detailed how it was to be neuroprotective for lyme patients. I even called the ND who was interviewed for the article and said that she had seen many lyme patients do wonderfully with this at low dose. My experience seemed to be a puzzle to her.

However, if for neuroprotection, there are much better things such as Huperzine A, etc. To lift mood, magnesium, fish oil and curcumin are wonderful. Green and Blacks 85% DARK chocolate, at one once, after a meal, too. Or just cocoa, stevia and almond milk.

A gluten-free diet is key to lessening depression, too.

Lou's note about thyroid with LO is something to consider.

Be sure to search for the many past threads here at LymeNet on this very topic:
