other less side effects? I already have neuropathy. Has anyone experienced worsening with flagyl?

Fewer side effects.. at least for me. And I THINK it was better as far as causing depression than Flagyl.

It's not uncommon to have increased neuropathy from flagyl.. At that point you stop the med.

The permanent neuropathy side effect is what scares the crap out of me! I did not know about this.

Can Tindamax also cause permanent neuropathy?

I've been on both flagyl and tindamax.

I had a much easier time on tindamax as far as side effects (mostly spaciness). My LLMD said that Tindamax does not cause neuropathy while flagyl can.

I'm about to go back on tindamax and I'm feeling pretty good about it. With that said, for all the side effects, flagyl really helped me turn a corner and clear most of the fog away.

My LLMD said to always take Tindamax with a B6 tablet to prevent neuropathy.

And i never had it. No depression either. Its easy to tolerate after you are through the herxing stage.

No alcohol whatsovever with Tindamax.

The neuropathy feels about the same. I did call my LLMD yesterday, but still waiting to hear back from him. I am going to ask for Tindamax just for precaution...not worth taking the risk.

Tindamax is better for me, too.

Flagyl exacerbates the neuropathy and makes me depressed.

Tindamax just packs a nasty herx, but doesn't make me depressed or make the neuropathy worse.

Tindamax was MUCH better as far as not causing the severe depression that came with Flagyl. I hope never to have to take flagyl again.
