Hi Everyone - Well I have been feeling so good lately that back in January I started exercising on a regular basis. Started out slow with some weights and slow walking on treadmill for 20 min but it was something.

I am now really hitting the weights and doing a 3 mile walk/run on treadmill, walking the dog (finally getting warm in NJ!) and even bike riding with my family!

Now the down side...my knees are killing me at the end of every day. I feel great from the exercise but I have a hard time getting up the stairs or off the couch etc... and man do they creak and crack when I go upstairs!

Any suggestions on supplements for this knee pain? Is it arthritis? Never had it before lyme...

Right now I am on cats claw and bromelain, multi vit, fish oil, b-complex, c, rhodiola and magnesium.

ANything I can add to the mix to help this???

Thanks all!

I can't say if you have arthritis. I can say My knees are in bad shape.

I used to be an avid runner... Now I am lucky if I can walk a mile. Understand the knee pain.

Zyflamend is an herbal formula for healthy inflamation response. You can get from a health food store.

Ask them for samples and see if it works for you befor buying.

I have some samples, but haven't tried them yet.

I have found that getting the already made formulas seem to be so expensive, so have started getting the herbs in bulk from www.bulkherbstore.com and capsulizing them myself. I have found cheap suppliers for the capsules and the equipment to capsulize. The govt. is trying to shut down the people with the capsulizing equip. so it is getting harder to find at good prices. I read somewhere that dl-phenylalanine is good for the pain. www.swansonvitamins.com has really good prices for alot of stuff.

My everyday pain meds don't touch my knee pain. I have to apply things externally on those days that they are super inflammed.

I use natural stuff and rub them down with White Flower or Tiger Balm. Supps I use is omega 3s for lub job.

I was taking MSM along with other supplements, abx etc. I ran out of MSM about week and half ago and my joint pain has now come back with a vengence.

I didnt know it was helping so much but I am getting more as soon as I can. Even though I have other symptoms my muscle, joint pains havent been this bad in a while.

I was getting some at local drug store but my LLMD had me taking

MSM-by Pure Encapsulation..

It free of all dyes, fillers etc. I think the bottle is for 400 capsules at 850 mg a piece and I was taking 2 twice a day.

I also read where you dont need the added stuff ie: glucosamine and chondroitin. It just adds to the price and what you really need is just

MSM-- known as(methylsulfonylmethane
or dimethylsulfone)

I hope this helps you..I just know I wish I hadnt run out of it and I'm not planning on running out again.

Karen (:

Thanks all for your replies. I am willing to try anything!

Going to look into all the responses and see which works best. My local health food store can usually get hard to find items too.
