Hypothetical question.
If you ordered IV abx like rocephin and found that you were allergic to it, do you throw it out or is there an organization to whom you could donate the left over meds?

It would be better to hand it over to a medical organization since it is illegal to directly give a Rx that was prescribed for you to another person.

You might call your patient information center at the closest hospital and see about organizations as I'm sure they'd be able to guide you.

But, first, I'd ask your LLMD. He or She may know of a way to get it to a lyme patient. Most lyme patients have no access to the medicine they need.

I have a similar hypothetical question about Tindamax- I need some, and can't afford it.

I have learned (because I had so much extra Bicillin) through my LLMd that some of his patients he rx'd it to could use it.
