Adrenal Fatigue and malabsorption go hand in hand

Recover the adrenals and treat lyme and co : )

Are you gluten free?

canefan- yea i take an adrenal supplement too, gee do the problems with lyme never end?

littlelymie- not 100% though i do try to limit it as much as possible. I typically eat brown rice everything now- brown rice pasta, bread, tortillas

brown rice doesnt convert to sugare does it? wondering if its bad for yeast.

my llmd gave me a scrp for malabsorbtion creon or something like that. i havent started it yet because ive been so sick lately.

Just a sugg.- you might want to consider a broader digestive enzyme supplement- one that has multiple enzymes.

Ditto what Dawn in VA said. Take stronger digestive enzymes not the "candy" chewable papaya tablets. Digest Gold is a good option.

Digestive enzymes are a big help

Also-keep in mind some fiber doesn't actually digest, its roll is to help move things through the bowel. So if you are seeing pieces of leaves or grain hulls in your movements it doesn't necessarily mean that you're not digesting properly unless of course it appears to be way too much, the stools are not well formed, and you have other symptoms of malabsorption.

Also-make sure to chew your food really well. This is an important but easily overlooked part of digestion.

If stools float, fats are not absorbed and digestion is incomplete = malabsorption. We cannot live without fats/lipids. Brain = lipids. Leaky Gut/allergies to foods have to be corrected to avoid malabsorption. Malabsorption of minerals is a major problem with many who have Lyme. One of the reasons Lyme took a foothold.

Adrenal fatigue comes later - problems start with a toxic undernourished body. Cause and effect.

Take care.

healingtime,

bread and pasta are no bueno for you right now.

They aren't good for hypo's, yeast, absorption, the Gut, adrenals.

Thanks everyone- will look into other digestive enzymes-

so even brown rice pasta is no good? Even if the ingredient is only brown rice?

thanks littlelymie- i do enjoy my brown rice pasta!

I have another question though- after re reading some of the answers here i noticed that my bowel movements 1. don't float, 2. are not greasy and are the normal size, color and texture

My question is would it be normal to see nuts in my bowel movement if i did not have malabsorbtion- like parts of cashew, almond?

i'm just trying to pin down what i'm seeing and i do eat alot of nuts. i know elley posted that grains and veggie fiber doesn't break down but i was wondering does this include nuts?

Im not as knowledgeable as everyone else on this board because I am just starting my treatment...

But I was having the same problems you are with food not being processed. I also started getting bad heart palps after eating along with indigestion and everything that comes with that.

I finally bought some super digestive enzymes from GNC today and I did have a notable difference in my indigestion after taking them. Ill let you know if anything else gets better.

thanks ahodge01- i've ramped up on my enzymes too since posting this day before yesterday and will be seeing if i notice a difference- i found a super kind too at my heatlh store

I guess i was hoping this isnt realy a malabsorbtion problem b/c my bowel movements don't float and are still the right color,size- Gigi posted about that
I also do eat plenty of grains but i really shouldn't be seeing them in my bm all the time i guess. how discouraging
sorry you get heart palps- they are not fun. I had them at one time but not since. Please update me on your progress with your digestion issues and thank you for responding.
