I don't know why it is happening but I have them too. Interesting question. I have detailed lengthy vivid dreams and sometimes nightmares. This started on Rifampin and continues on Bactrim. I am also taking biaxin which may contribute to it. Hopefully our brains are "herxing".

I was on invanz and tindamax and had a lot of dreams. I liked it because before I was sick I had dreams but now I crash so hard I don't remember anything. It worries me how deep I sleep sometimes and having dreams made me think that maybe I was breaking through this perpetual state of walking coma

This is from Dr. S Donta at the 2004 lyme conference. So returning dreams might be a good thing. I too have just started having them from flaygl.
Cognitive, mood-wise another interesting feature which I didn't put on here. Sleep disorders. And of course, that is hard. You are tired but you cannot get to sleep, you wake, so there is disturbance in sleep and the reasons for that are not exactly clear physiologically speaking. One feature is interesting is that many patients of chronic fatigue stop dreaming and as you start improving them they start going through vivid dreams or nightmares and then as they correct themselves they go through and in and out of normal dreams.

I didn't dream when I was on BactrimDS. My doctor replaced it with Rifampin.
I was dreaming when I was on Rifampin. My air hunger was worst when I was on rifampin so I had to stop it after 2 weeks. Did I say that I was sleeping better when on Rifampin.

Before Lyme treatment i had been experiencing insomnia for years. My LLD put me on Doxy and Artimisinin which caused alot of herxing but no change in sleep. Once I began Biaxin, my sleep has been improving and I actually began noticing that I've been dreaming. I've only been on this med about 2 weeks.
