After reading Gary's (username gwb here on the board) thread/posts about the Hansa Center here on the board and talking to a lady there at the center today, I'm very impressed with them. Thus, I'm now trying to make arrangements to get there to the center to be seen by them soon.
I really don't want to go there all by myself. So, is there anyone here that wants to go and be seen there with someone soon too? Or is there anyone here that has already made arrangements to go and be seen there who wouldn't mind changing their dates to be seen there to go with someone? I know, I'd just feel alot better having someone there with me going through the same thing.
I'm sure we could offer each other alot of support too though, while we're being seen there, which would be so nice. We could also share lodging expenses, in order to make our stay there, while we're being seen there, a bit more affordable, if you're interested. I'm very willing to share a hotel room with someone, to cut the two week lodging costs in half.
Right now, under their pilot program, for two people to go and be seen there on the same dates, there are only two dates left in April. That means, in order for us to take advantage of the substantial savings their pilot program offers, we'd have to make some pretty quick arrangements, if we were to decide to go and be seen there together on the same dates.
If you're seriously interested in doing this with me, please send me a private message ASAP.
Thank you so much.
Jennie

From your tag, it looks like you need serious detox...
I wish I was closer to you, I would consider going.
Good luck.
Gary is not well from the center, FYI.

Isn't it also something like $7,000? or am I remembering wrong?
Posted by kateaton (Member # 24871) on :
I believe it's $5000 for the 2 week treatment- of course that doesn't include travel.
I'd love to go, my husband and I have been having discussions about it lately. He thinks it's a scam. If I did go, I'd have to bring him and my girls. There's no way I could be away from my 2 and 3 year old for 2 weeks!
I do believe that Gary said he was 75% better. I'd pay $5000 to be 75% better.

id pay 30k. what would you pay for 0% better?
prob not 5k. im not saying it doesnt work it
very well could its just hard to take a gamble
on it. i live close to it this is why i dont go.
if i couldnt take abx or was having no success
on abs i would go for sure

This is Gary here. Where did you get the idea I was not well from the center? I am indeed well and getting better from my treatments from the Hansa Center. Are you possibly confusing me with the other Gary on the forum?

JYW, I gambled five years of my life (and $$$) on abx and got sicker and sicker for the five years I was on them.
I gambled 7000. on the Hansa Center treatment and am getting better.
Life is a gamble, especially when it comes to lyme treatment. The gamble I took is paying off.
It was expensive, yes, but to be able finally get better and do things I could not do for two years--priceless!
By the way, yes, for a limited time they are offering the two week treatments for $5000. I went before this offer became available and it cost me about $7000. No regrets.

I've stated this before about the cost, that it needs to be put into perspective.
$5K, $7K, $10K, it's a lot for most of us. Now consider that it's for two weeks. Anbd let's even take the $10K amount into consideration.
At the Hansa Center, you'll be spending on average 4 hours a day. You'll be there 5 days a week for 2 weeks, a total of 10 days. That's roughly 40 hours of doctor/detox/treatment time at the clinic.
Now divide that 40 hours into $10K and it comes out to $250 an hour. Sound just like seeing a specialist?
Obviously, the downfall is going to be an alternative health facility is not covered by insurance. The $250 an hour is a high comparison because you end up spending $1K on supplements. Compared to pharmaceutical costs, $1K is fairly reasonable.
My point is what they charge is not as unreasonable as it seems when compared to the standard health industry. Maybe Dr. J charges a little more than he should. He's not a scammer to me because he put that money back into building a dream facility in his mind.
Not trying to sway any decisions, just pointing out that their fees are not as outlandish as it may seem.

I think it would be absolutely wonderful for those folks
who have not been able to continue treatment/given up on treatment/or not hit what all is needed.
There are many. Especially if they help you find what all you need to get rid of.

Apologies, I will clarify.
I stated Gary is not well from the center, and by "well", I meant in remission.
The center seems like a good option and personally lines up w/ how I would like to treat as well.
I just want people to keep in perspective that this is not a silver bullet as most treatments are not...
They are all building blocks, one on the other, on the path to wellness, and this one seems like a good choice.
I am seriously kicking it around in my head if I perhaps would be able to go sometime this summer/fall as I am currently broke...
This type of treatment is by far better than abx treatment if it works, IMO. Abx should be given a good college try, but if they fail, rebuilding the body from every angle from the ground up is the only option.
Best

Jennie, I really think this would be good for you. You obvisiously need to be detoxed and I believe you need to have it done in a medical setting.
Don't waste too much time trying to get someone on board with you. That would be nice to have someone with you but YOU need to take care of you.
Grab that April appt.

I'm sorry, but I'm way too tired to comment on alot of what's been said in this thread, right now. I've just been expending what little extra energy I have right now trying to make it all work out for me. I'll try to do it soon though.
In the meantime, I just want to let anyone know that's interested, if transportation is an issue for you, then there is probably a solution for you. Angel Flights told me they can fly me there and back for free, so they are likely able to help you too. You'd need to get with them very soon though, because it takes time for them to make arrangements to help you. If you need more info about it, just send me a private message and I can steer you in the right direction.
I still don't have anyone interested in going there together though. If you or anyone you know are seriously interested, please let me know ASAP.
Thank you so much.

There are several things you can do to find out more about them.
1. Do a search here for posts about them, as well as Gary's (username "gwb") posts.
6. Go to www.amazon.com and search for the book Beating Lyme Disease: Living The Good Life in Spite of Lyme (2nd Edition) by Dr.J for reviews. It's the book he wrote about them.
I hope this helps you.

jjeennnniiee, hi, not sure if you're still on the boards, but just wondering how your Hansa experience went?

Just really liked the way you said that.

Did she get well? Does anyone have any way of getting in contact with her?
Hoping she is healed
Posted by Pam08 (Member # 19203) on :
I am not sure if she ever went to hansa. I put her in contact with another lady that was wanting to go to hansa but they never did coordinated anything together.
Also about 8 days after she posted this she posted another thread asking for opinions on another Dr. in Maryland that she was considering.
I wondered what happened with her treatment. If anyone hears from her definitely let us know how she is doing. Hope she is doing well.
