Hi - I have been doing the KPU protocol for 2 1/2 months. The first 2 months my LLMD had me take the zinc later in the day with food.
Now my LLMD has me taking the zinc first thing in the AM on an empty stomach as per the Dr K protocol, and I am very dizzy. I have never had this before.
Does anyone know why Dr K recommends zinc first thing in the morning? Maybe it would help me understand my dizziness, although I do plan on calling my LLMD on Mon.

The recommendations vary by patient. Some people do better taking it in the AM. Some do better taking it at night. My husband takes Core (including P5P and other minerals that need to be part of the protocol) with food as all minerals should be taken. Then the detox agents in the evening. If you are heavy metal toxic, you are probably mobilizing some causing them to move through the system. My husband did the Allergy Immun Therapy before Core/KPU, thus avoiding the heavy metal effect yet still dumping the metals without feeling poorly. If you get dizzy, I would stop it immediately and talk with your doctor. Dr. K. is still adjusting dosing and accompanying minerals for this protocol. Nothing is cast in stone.
