Hi, I just joined today. I suspect I might have Lyme Disease. But I am there are so many websites out there which is a good thing and there is so much info out there and of course there are so many labs to order tests. The Bowen labs website has 4 tests ranging from $250 to $500, while the igenex website has so many tests that I my head is spinning. BTW what are co-infections? If someone is tested negative for lyme disease can they be positive for co-infections? Are co-infections other bugs? Meaning Lyme is the actual lyme bug and co-infections are other bugs? As for treatment, maynn there are so many.

Is there a link or guide for beginners?
Thank you in advance everyone.

A whole lot to learn about these diseases from the treatment battles between Md's to all the different antibiotics, herxing, detoxing, co-infections and on and on, it can be overwhelming.

Co-infections are other bacteria that in most cases transmitted w/Lyme. Here is more info on co's: http://www.lymeinfo.net/coinfectionarticle.html

Lyme is a virulent bacteria needing long term treatment, same w/co-infections. One link here describes LD: http://www.thehumansideoflyme.net/

Lots of links at the site at the bottom of my post, click on "Resources" and the "Archived forum/Articles" - leads to many other reliable websites and information that will help you learn.

Get a Lyme literate Md - you can find an LLMd by going to www.ilads.org clicking on the contact link email or call them.

Lyme treatment is not cheap unfortunately.

Lyme treatment guide by the "pioneer" in LD treatment can be read here: http://www.ilads.org/lyme_disease/B_guidelines_12_17_08.pdf

Do make sure to read the site below.
