Does this supplement actually TREAT Bartonella?

do you have the burner book? he explains what it does in the core treatment part of the book and he discusses at the end of the bart section. it is not the main herbs he suggusts for bart but for Bb.

I have the book -- he lists red root, stephania, and resveratrol as I recall. I still cant figure out where the killing agent is?

What is the best brand of this to get? I know it needs to be from japanese knotweed, not grape based.
I am gonna start this...looking for a brand people like and find does something. Also wanting a brand/source for andographis.

Resveratrol from Japanese Knotweed is a broad-spectrum antimicrobial - kills bacteria, viruses and fungi. I take it for Lyme, Bartonella and Candida.
It also treats infection and phlegm in the lungs (great if you have an opportunistic lung infection like Chlamydia Pneumoniae). It's anti-inflammatory and hepatoprotective (Liver support). It also lowers cholesterol and blood sugar.
There are many sources for Resveratrol and Andrographis. I take Pure Encapsulations Resveratrol, 200 mg capsules. I like that brand.
I take Planetary Herbals Andrographis, 400 mg tablets. I'm less happy with this brand, quality-wise. They use more fillers. But it's inexpensive, and I herx on it.
As with antibiotics, rotate these in and out of your program. I usually do 2-3 months on, 1 month off.

My teenager takes Resveratrol and loves it. She calls it her "happy drink" because it makes her feel significantly better.
Since our whole family of 5 has LD, we can't afford much. So she only takes it when she is feeling particularly bad. But it does help.. whatever it does.

This is your brand cane. I don't think you need the quercetin or the grape additives. I think we only need to take the Japanese Knotweed. You don't really know the proportions when it says - proprietary blend.
Knotweed grows everywhere. Any knotweed supplement shouldn't be all that expensive.
Resveratrol has many beneficial properties. I think I would still take it if I didn't have Lyme...

My understanding is Resveratrol is a key antioxidant inside grapes. So, all Resveratrol supplements will have grape additives.
Please, correct me if I'm wrong. This was information given to me by a supplement advisor.
I just picked some up today, and will be trying it in a couple days. Looking for something to help with the phlegm production I've been experiencing since I started Plaquenil.

I've bought some other vitamin's and herbs from this website. They are supposed to be a certified lab in Maryland. They list details on each supplement like what's in it, and clinical trials, etc. The prices seem pretty reasonable.
Can you take this while taking antibiotics? Is anyone taking both?

I take Resveratrol with my antibiotics. I adjust my dose according to how much I'm herxing. The antimicrobial herbs work synergistically with antibiotics, increasing the killing activity of each.

SB actually encourages lyme disease patients to take abx with the herbs in his protocol, so it must be OK.

MY LLMD has me on abx and resveratrol. He told me it would increase my energy levels?? (It hasn't). He never mentioned herxing on it or anything.
Honestly, I feel no different when Im on it or off of it.

Has there been any actual studies using Resveratrol to kill off bartonella, lyme, or anything tick related? Studies in rodents, at least?
I realize some docs recommend it, but it'd be nice to know they are basing this decision off of some type of study, rather than general antimicrobial effects.

I think that the Reveratrol is not meant to kill Lyme or the co's...just to be a powerful antioxidant that supports the body while it's killing. So maybe detox? And I think it does make some people feel better.
That is what I gather from talking to a few people who have read Buhner's book. I have not read the book.
I think Andographis is an actual anti-microbial (killing agent). Is this right, anyone who knows more about Buhner's protocol?
And then Samento/cat's claw is supposed to boost the immune system, or balance it. So andographis is the only thing acting on one of the infections directly. Right, anyone who knows?
To me, it seems worth a try, because I figure if all these abx and killing herbs haven't helped yet, it must be that I'm not supporting my body and immune system enough. Or that there's some kind of co-morbidity (other condition).
My impression is that there are studies to back up why Buhner has selected the herbs he recommends....but like I said, I have very little actual info since I don't have the book.
