Im just curious if meds are actually doing something if my symptoms have calmed down. Could it mean that the disease is in cyst form? I have taken flagyl, but nothing happened.

Every morning I wake up terrified of the upcoming herx, but nothing happens. Does that mean I need to change things up a bit?
I know the disease is in me, I just don't understand why I was so severe, and now nothing.

thoughts?

My first herx was on cats claw, lasted many months. Im currently on doxy, malarone, zith, and pulsed flagyl. All meds are two weeks on, two weeks off.
I have been infected 10 years, sick 2. I have babs, ehrlichia, and lyme.

The meds you are on are the perfect ones for the diseases you named.

As long as you are taking flagyl, you don't have to worry about lyme going into cyst form. Flagyl kills the cyst form.

I don't know your dosages of each med. If they are high enough, they will kill the germs. If not, they will just keep them from multiplying.

Also, I don't know how often you are taking the flagyl. I took it daily rather than pulsing it. It worked for me.

I don't know how long you have been treating this way.

You don't want to stop too soon or the diseases will just come back.

I would say to enjoy your new-found health. If, after about 2 months of having no symptoms, your doctor decides you have "plateaued," he will put you on different meds to see if you have any reaction to them.

Not everyone herxes. That means you have no problems detoxing, so just be thankful for that.

I recommend you begin doing the 1 hour weight lifting program every other day as recommended by Burrascano. It has many benefits as you can read in his Guidelines. My lyme doc and another I know both tell their patients that this is a necessity if they are to get well and not relapse once they stop meds.

It is believed that this type of exercise every other day boosts the immune system and has many other benefits besides. I hope you decide to do it. You will see your strength and endurance increase, and that is very encouraging in and of itself.

I am so happy to hear that you are now symptom-free. I know how sick you were based on your previous posts.

How wonderful!!

If I were you, I would get off the forum and go celebrate. Don't be afraid of being well!
