I have had a positive ANA for years now. Does anyone know what kind of effect someone having a positive ANA would have on Igenix testing/Lyme in general?
Thanks,
Drew

I just know that my LLMD told me it is common for lyme patients to have positive ANA's....me included.
He said it usually becomes normal with treatment.
I assume that chronic infection starts an autoimmune process causing the positive ANA.
Not sure if it has any effect on Igenex testing.

I always have had a borderline speckled ANA. Rheumatologist says no big deal. They assured me it's not Lyme.
