so i felt very sick about 3 weeks ago. i had been on flygal and eating fruit and thought i had gotten yeast from this. i also had a white coated tongue in the morning.

i since started diflucin and switched to a 0 sugar 0 flour diet. i also started on my rifampin. i have since had the best health 3 week period since i first got sick in September. i stil have tremors and dont feel good all the time but very noticeable improvements.

my ? is that i assumed that i still had yeast because my tongue is still white in the morning. however i just had a unin test for yeast and it came back negative and from what i hear it usually shows some yeast. does this mean i dont have yeast anymore? can i stop my diflucing? i would like to give my liver a break from it. i stll have white tongue. was it the rifampin thats making me feel better? evern when i didnt have yeast earlier on i didnt feel this good on zithro, doxy, ceftin, flygal, etc...

you thoughts?

I would think you could still have yeast... the white tongue confirms it.... but most of it may be on the tongue. The only problem there is that everytime you eat or drink, spores are bound to go down!

I've never had a urine test to tell me if I have Yeast. I usually know it. So no testing for me.

Rifampin should be hitting bart and maybe that is your biggest problem.

That would be GOOD NEWS!!

Is your mouth kinda dry? Some people have hairier tongues than others. The hairs can make the tongue look whitish.

Thicker cottage cheese looking coatings and patches more likely to be from yeast.

Some foods also coat the tongue and make it appear whitish. Dairy is a big one that does this.

If you are concerned that you have thrush and still want to treat the yeast with something different than Diflucan, ask your doctor for Mycelex lozenges or Nystatin Liquid.

Many take Nystatin instead of D.

And the lozenges work quick.

But I would not stop taking something to prevent yeast. Yeast can kill.

Follow Dr B's Oral Hygiene Protocol

Brush mouth/tongue with toothpaste and mouthwash and water very night for 30 second a piece.

Then pour a probiotic onto the tongue before bed.

Thinking you should google Schardt Protocol.

too-yeah i thought a i could have bart i saw some gains on zithro and the rifampin coincides with improvements. i also have had some symptoms similar to bart.

my tounge isnt white thick, just white fuzzy. i did do the oral hygene protocol for a couple of weeks.

alana-interesting stuf, are they suggesting that diflucin can also treat lyme or it just eliminates yeast which makes people able to fight lyme?

diflucan has effects on lyme, co infections, as well as yeast
