Ok so i really cant get into history. but my gp gave me this a week ago. I tried it with the plaqunel and i really didnt feel good about the intensed shortness of breath.

I stopped the plaq instantly as the next day i felt clearer than i had for months. I have been on it every day. I still feel horrible but my brain has come out of the complete dissocation i was in for months. I go back into for like 5 hours a day and come out but its more of a depressed intense state. Either way beats being init 24 hrs a day.

Whats the next step? Im afraid to try anything that will mess my stomach up more as i just salvaged it somewhat.

Should i try taking plaq again with it,,, To me taking a sign that you cant breathe well isnt a good one.

Is this sufficient on its own to be treating?

MY history is very complicated and is in my last post
http://flash.lymenet.org/scripts/ultimatebb.cgi/topic/1/92035?

incase u wondering what i have tried.

What is your diagnosis? If you have Babesia, which would make sense judging from your treatment, that would explain the shortness of breath and also the dissociation. I have Babesia and after I take antibiotics I often get a dissociated feeling and when I do any kind of exercise I become short of breath. In regards to depression I have also suffered from that, off and on, after taking Mepron which targets Babesia.

As long as you can breath alright when you are resting and not exercising you should continue on the Plaq as it seems to be working. If you are having difficulty breathing when resting then you should reduce dosage until the shortness of breath isn't as bad.

I just read your other thread and neurological problems seem most predominant. That makes me think of Bartonella as well. I have had very similar symptoms to yours and tested positive for Babesia and Bartonella.

I know that your LLMD wasn't much good but did he diagnose you and/or run tests for Lyme and co-infections (Babesia, Bartonella, Ehrlichia)?

If I read it correctly you are working with a GP because the LLMD was not helpful. Is that correct?

If money is a major issue, which seems to be the case, I would recommend Bactrim DS. It is inexpensive and hits both Babesia and Bartonella.

To offer you encouragement, what you are going through is directly linked to the abx that you are taking, but it is not a "side effect" of the abx. The dissociation and other symptoms are symptoms of co-infections. It is either a herx or the pathogens behaving more aggressively in response to your treatment. Those abx are doing some good.

i am currently just on the flagl. Im wondering if i should alternate plaq every other day.

i really dont know how its helping as i havent seen any changes since ive been on it, i just tolerated it, thats it...

it didnt make my dissociation worse or better , the flagly worked instantly. the only differnce is the plaq changed the intensitiy of the biaxon and the flagly thats it...

im currently trying it every other day but seems to be a theory as i notice nothing besides it helps me go to the bathroom. ... NOw that im over the initial breathing problems it causes.

Plaquenil and flagyl need to be taken consistently in order for them to work.

does that mean they work togather?

Is it a wasate to take plaq with flagyl... seeing that my intensines cant hadnle the biaxon like i was able to months ago.

im surprised the flagly has no problems.

should i take plaq with it or is it useless?

why cant flagl work alone.

does plaq do any good with it? I dont think i can handle the biaxon or any of the other abx i tried.
